6/8/05 Finished the Jacksonville Bulls USFL logo, actually I need to make it a wrap around logo decal. I will do that in the near future. I need to work on this website some, but it is hard to lay down illustrator. :) However I need to break up the front page because it is getting to big, I will do that tomorrow.

6/6/05 Well took a month off and now I need to get back on track!! So here is a logo of the day! Going with my home town 1975 World Football League Jacksonville Express! The Train is rolling again at thundercrush.com Next Logo will be the USFL Jacksonville Bulls and then I will be done with my city's Jacksonville Football teams.
5/5/05 Triple 5's!! scary! Anyways I am starting to put flat image logo's up. I just started so this may take a couple weeks to do. If you use your mouse and go over helmets and it turns into a hand you will be able to click on it to get to that teams page. Right Now I am starting with Arizona Cardinals and working my way forward.
5//4/05 I put up a font page that has NFL fonts and college block fonts. These are not my fonts but The numbers & letters were originally created by Nick Whitford and Jim Pericotti (jpslapshot). The TTF fonts were created by Eriq P. Jaffe I think they did a excellent job and it took them a good chunk of time doing these fonts. So my hats off to them!! Click here to the FONT PAGE
5/3/05 Been busy making banners this past week you can check them out here . Did a few Jersey transfers of Matt Jones. These things take a little time to do. I also have been working on the WFL logos so I will be doing those helmets soon.
4/28/05 Lots going on, NFL Draft was this past weekend so I had to do what is known as a Jersey transfer on my favorite team The Jacksonville Jaguars 1st round pick Matt Jones. I replaced his college Arkansas Jersey with his new Jag Jersey. I have lots of inquires on how this is done so I will probably make a photoshop tutorial of my techniques soon.
4/20/05 Pic of the day goes to New Mexico St. they came out with a new helmet logo today. I redrew this from the helmet pic they released today so it's not 100% but I guess it is good for the goose for now.
4/19/05 Diablo submitted a few Fantasy helmet logos so I have them posted in the custom page. Here one of his helmets that got picture of the day!
4/18/05 Update 4/19/05 BYU New Uniforms and Logo Re did the BYU helmet, it is the same as the old helmet but the color is now a dark navy instead of a royal blue.
4/16/05 Not much done today but helped a buddy of mine Diablo from thorbird.net forum put his Panther logo on a helmet. Looks like this is Panther week. Check out Diablo's Panther Helmet Guess which one is the real helmet? LOL!!!
4/15/04 Terry Noonen Came up with this proto type for the Pittsburgh Panthers so we check to see how it looked on a helmet! Check it out!
4/14/05 Well Pitt just came out with a new helmet. I guess the Pittbull finally got old. I really don't know anyone who liked the panther that looked like a dog logo. I thought they could have did a better logo but they went with the Pitt in an edited college font. Pic of the day goes to the Pitt.
4/12/05 Update 4/17/05 I found other logos of the shark and I questioned if the logo was correct. After Making the shark as big as a pea it did look like the real pic. So I will use the Shark that is out there floating around. But for all those who make these shark helmets on ebay. Make sure you put the tail fin around the ear piece!!! That I do know!!!
4/11/05 Took some time to visit other helmet/logo sites and I will say I am very impress with some sites I visited! I really had fun visiting H3 and Klaus at FH2I does fabulous Logo work!! I don't have a pic of the day because I was at Klaus's and Ben's site all day long checking their work!! I think I am going to be sick now. :) Hopefully I be able to visit more cool sites this week!
4/10/05 Logo of the Day is the Ohio St. Buckeyes Helmet Award Sticker, and the FSU Tomahawk Award Sticker. I like to get all the award Division 1 stickers drawn, If I can find them that is! Added NCS fang
4/8/05 Working on flat images for download, I found the Decal for Air Force so I redid them and made another Air Force Log of theirs. ,
4/7/05 Got side tracked tonight, Chad from the email groups was looking for the Lexington Horseman black helmet logo. So I found a tiny T-shirt pic and wasted my night redrawing it. So here is the pic of the day and by no means do I know if this is even close to the actual horse logo!!
4/5/05 Still working on Division 1 NCAA helmets, Had to redo Iowa St. because the vector I had wasn't the helmet logo. So I had to draw it up myself. Sometimes other peoples vectors can help and sometimes I just have to redraw them to meet helmet logo specs. So here is the logo of the day the Cyclones!! Unfortunately I am still not done with Iowa St. I have to draw the Left side now and switch the letters ugg!
4/3/05 Added NCAA Conference pages, Also added 2 links to really good helmet sites. IHCC and VHM They have really good yahoo email message groups. I would recommend to join up if you love football helmets! Pictures of the Day: From Washington, the Stanwood Spartans High School helmet and my local area The *University of Jacksonville* Helmet Logo. If you have a high School or Peewee-Midget team logo and you want it on one of these helmets send the helmet logo my way and I will put it on one of these helmets. I plan to have a high school and Pop Warner web pages.
4/2/05 NCAA Division 1 Helmets are complete, phase 2 of Division 1 logos will take place. That means I will touch up the logos then put them on the site for downloading! Today's Pic, No doubt the Ragin Cajuns!! I mean these guys have a little pepper on the helmet!! How friggin cool is that!! Here's to those spicy peppers!! I will be keeping track of these guys come football season time!!
4/1/05 Working on the last few NCAA Division 1 Helmets. Florida Atlantic gets Logo of the day! I actually drew the logo from a T-shirt pic that was as big as a silver dollar!! MAN! This stuff is Hard! Just trying to find the Logos that is!! I am so glad ThunderCrush is going to CRUSH the Helmet Logos!! After I get the helmets finished I plan to have the flat images available for download. My 2 month long headache will be someone's 1 minute down load. But hey that is what ThunderCrush is here for. To make it easy for you!!!
3/31/05 ACC, Big 10, Big 12, Big East page templates made, I will make the other NCAA conferences on Friday. Remember this site right now is really just a pre site, do to I will be changing the look in the future
3/30/05 Down to the Sunbelt Conference! The 2 New Division 1 teams that had me going for a day are FAU and FIU both Florida teams. Sometimes I really wonder how schools become Division 1 football teams?? Sometimes I wonder how the Sunbelt is a division 1 conference? Well Utah St. moves out of the Sunbelt into the WAC so Utah St. beats out Northern Texas for logo of the day!
3/29/05 Took some time off the NCAA Helmets the past couple days, I only have 6 left to do, but I am still puzzled on how many NCAA Division 1 teams there are?? I count 117, but I was told by a credible source there is 119 teams. What two teams am I missing? Anyway's helmet of the day goes to a Terry S. Noonen, Terry is a 3 time champ of one of his Fantasy leagues. Here is his fantasy logo we stuck it on one of these helmets. I have to say I changed his color so I could get some color to this page. His normal color is a silver helmet.
3/25/05 Completed 17 NCAA helmets today, getting down to the nitty gritty, the final dozen is left to do and there is 2 that may be hard do to the lack of pictures of the logos. I would like to thank Edgar A Johnson, He is tracking down some NCAA vectors, So my thanks to him and the unknown artists who drew up the vectors. It was brought to my attention that Hawaii has change there color of their helmet from green to silver so here is how it may look.
3/25/05 San Diego St. Which is the logo on there helmet for 2005 season? I made these from dime sized logos, So I plan on doing another version if I get better pics! Update 3/25/05 Man I must be blind, the new logo I thought when I was redrawing it I said to myself it would look better if the S and the D were enter locked??! but oh well if that's how they want there logo then so be it. Well the letters are interlocked!! I will have to change that!! So for now in it's place I putting the helmet up until I fix the new logo!! LOL
3/24/05 Added a few helmets yesterday and vectored Pittsburgh today. I'm not sure if I like logos that are not clean designed logos. The Panthers and the Tigers of LSU logos have what I would call pencil drawn look not a clean edge smooth look. I guess that is what makes every school unique!
3/22/05 Added 4 More NCAA helmets, no particular order, since I have so many I just do them as I see them. One of my co workers is a Die Hard Terps fan so I made sure I got the Terps done today! I probably improve on it when I go through my second run of the logos.
3/21/05 Hit the 70 mark for NCAA helmets, I want to thank ROBB KOTTMYER at vectorportal.com. This guy is a friggin Monster when it comes to vector sports logos. I am declaring him the God Father of Sport Vectors!! I have used many of his vectors since he beat me by doing them first. It's not that I couldn't do the vectors but vectors are math graphics so once someone does a vector graphic, there is no reason to redo it unless you can improve on it and with Robb you can't improve them! However, I do modify some vectors so that they conform to the colors and specs of the Helmet logos. The vectors he and others do not make I then make them but I would have to be a total idiot to redraw something that was already perfectly drawn. A Big Thanks goes out to the artist that help this site out!! One thing I can say is always say thanks!!!
3/20/05 Been real busy with the NCAA Helmets add 37 helmets this weekend! over half way there, but longer than that. Some of these logo's are going to be real hard to find!! Or should I say with the quality and size enough to vectorize. Here was my personal favorite of the day, San Jose St.! Update 3/21/05 Found a better logo to retrace so I will be redoing this logo later this weekend! I wish I just had the correct logos to start with!! urr!!
3/17/05 Ok did I curse Alabama? I made their Helmet then they lost in the NCAA Basketball Tourney!! Well I am here to prove it wasn't me!! Check out Illinois Helmet!! Now if these guys lose in the first round I will freak!!!

3/15/05 ThunderCrush has plans to change into a Flash site, so in the up coming months you may see a change in the web design. Also vectorportal.com is opening its doors today!! Boris Maric, the creator of sportlogo.net is expanding his site and is in the process of moving sportlogo.net over to vectorportal.com and of course I have plans to be an active participant on that new site. So check it out!!! The guys over there are great illustrators!!!
3/12/05 I got side tracked a little this weekend. drew up a fantasy helmet for a buddy of mine. Unfortunately it got canned but was picked up immediately by another buddy and named the Satanic Satan's!! Ouch! Here at ThunderCrush I plan to have a full fledge Fantasy Football section. If you are an artist that likes to create fantasy football teams give me a shout because I am looking for Fantasy Artists!! 2/27/05 ThunderCrush site gets a facelift! Added NFL Helmets NCAA Helmets Custom Helmets and a Guest book for those who like to say hello! It's now starting to look like a web site and it will get better as time goes on!! Keep coming back because this site will improve daily!
2/24/05 Ok I'm sick as a dog! But I finished one of the most requested Football helmet logos on the net! Let me tell you it cost me 17 bucks to get the logo so I could vectorize it!! Here at ThunderCrush the plan is to vectorize all of the NCAA Division 1 Football Logos, NFL vectors are done and I may work on the history NFL logos after the NCAA Division 1 teams are complete.

2/18/05 Ok the hardest thing about this helmet logo stuff is finding the correct official logos!! NCAA give me a break! Oh well I did the LSU helmet logo as far as I know this is the best representation on the net, until I find the official Decal logo. If you got a nice size clear pic of the official LSU logo send it to me Crush! Thanks! One note, the LSU Tiger eyes face towards the face mask! Very cool! So each side is different!
2/17/05 I just want to tell everyone to check out thornbird.net thornbird.net, Thornbird makes very cool 3D helmets he is also the source behind my helmets. I added a couple of layer masks to his template but the nod goes to T! Plus I am a regular at his forum! check it out!
2/16/05-One thing I like to point out, I am creating the actual logos that are on the helmets in Illustrator, This program is a vector based program that once you create a logo you can resize it to ANY SIZE with out a loss in detail. Vectors are like mathematic equations!!! I then import the Logo into Photo Shop where I place it on the helmet. The final product is a raster graphic, better known as a jpg, gif or bipmap picture. My goal is to have all NFL, NCAA helmet logos done in Vector Format. I have found many logos already created so I want to thank the artist that have done many of these logos you see on the helmets. 2/15/05-Made this vector logo awhile back it's the Jacksonville Jaguars Prototype logo, the logo they had in 93' before they changed it.. If you didn't know I am a Jaguar Fan! Go Jags!! Plus try and get a mini helmet of this logo and it's going to cost you on ebay! Well ebaypal I think I'll just make my own.
